  6. Your title reminds me of a couple people I know who refuse to you the term “blog”, they always say “weblog”, and whenever anyone else says “blog” it bugs them. Kind of like me with “WiFi”, but my annoyance is justified, since “WiFi” makes no sense, whereas “blog” is just a shortening of the original word.

  7. I just lack the creativity and commitment to think of a good title right now. Might as well say weblog in the title though; it’s more formal. Should it be two words like Web Log? Hmmm… I don’t know if weblog is a word.

  9. Well, weblog has a wikipedia entry so I guess it’s a word.

  11. I think it was shortened to “blog” instead of just “log” because there are other negative references to the term “log”.

  12. I like Linda Bangs explanation of it the best. Blog is short for web blah blah blah.

  13. How about if the FBI contacted you and said they had been “blogging” your online activites. Ha.

  14. Given the level of technical incompetence in some of those organizations, it wouldn’t be surprising.
